About Splash-N-Dash

Splash N Dash car wash offers two touchless in bay automatics and four self-serve bays

Located at 851 S 38th St, Tacoma, WA 98418, Splash-N-Dash operates as a car wash serving Tacoma in Washington. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 am–10 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. Tacoma is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. Getting around Tacoma is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Washington's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I just had the ULTIMATE car wash done at this dump... I had to wait 30 minutes before the attendant got there to fix the issue of the machine squirting soap all over my escalade, then STOPPING.....After an hour trying to get the machine to finish what it started, i drove out under the dryer fan that quit working midway through the process.... $16.00 to do the crappiest wash job ive ever seen in my 70 year life STAY CLEAR OF THIS DUMP! Machines dont work, leaves soap and streaks everywhere, and DOESNT CLEAN YOUR CAR!

I prefer touch less car washes and this Business used to be reliable. I've had the wash bay stop working while I was mid wash TWICE in a month you call their "service" number and you can't talk to anyone. This is absurd. Your carwash takes ppls money and then they can't get ahold of you. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Today I went to a self-service car wash. I always wash my car myself, so this isn’t my first experience, but this car wash completely ruined my day! The tire cleaner only started working after about 40 seconds β€” before that, it was just spraying water. And honestly, I wouldn’t even call it a cleaner, because it was just soapy water with no real effect. Then I switched to pre-soak, and I didn’t understand what that was at all β€” again, it was just spraying water. Next, I selected triple foam, and it was just lightly spraying, wasting my time. How are you even supposed to cover a car with that kind of pressure? While I was spraying one side, the other side was already drying. Foam should evenly cover the entire car. In the end, I rinsed the car, and it was still completely dirty. This is terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and will never suggest it. I don’t know if it’s possible to get my money back β€” if it is, please let me know how. This feels like a scam, not a car wash!

Excellent Customer Service and Sparkling Results! I recently visited the car wash and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service I received. From start to finish, Jason went above and beyond to ensure that my car was cleaned to perfection. Not only did my vehicle come out looking spotless and shiny, but the customer service I experienced was truly outstanding. Jason was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire process. He took the time to address all of my concerns and made sure that I was completely satisfied with the results. His professionalism and dedication to providing top-notch service truly set this car wash apart. In addition to the fantastic customer service, I found the pricing to be fair and reasonable for the quality of service provided. I left the car wash feeling like I got great value for my money and will definitely be returning in the future. Overall, I highly recommend this car wash to anyone looking for a thorough and efficient cleaning service with exceptional customer care. Thank you, Jason, and the team, for a job well done!
